About Young Builders and Designers

Too many young people enter the workforce or college unprepared. Young Builders and Designers offers competitions and workshops for kids to learn about the design and build trades. Fun and educational workshops include professionals, colleges, business owners, and union partners. Key outcomes include career aptitude and readiness so that our future workforce is prepared to contribute.

We are making a difference by presenting the design and build trades to young people for career readiness.”

Meet Your Facilitator

Tim Schuster believes every founder deserves the opportunity to build a community of brand ambassadors around their project. As a Strategic Development Consultant at Thrivent Financial, a not-for-profit company with a mission to help people be wise and generous, he works on teams that test and launch new products, businesses, and partnerships. He lives in North Minneapolis with his partner, Kelsey, and their daughter, Joslyn.

What happens at Popup Think Tank?

Step 1: Interview the founder

We'll take a few minutes to interview founder, Brian Kelley. We'll learn about the mission, vision, challenges, and opportunities.

Step 2: Contribute your ideas, wisdom, and connections

Good ideas are deep inside of each of us. All are welcome to participate, and many are surprised how many ideas they have to offer once we get started!

Step 3: Celebrate the mission!

After the event we'll put the ideas in an eBook for the team at Young Builders and Designers. As much as this event is about generating new ideas, it's also about celebrating those who are making a difference. Register today to see this process in action - and join in the creation of something our world needs.
