Sunday, July 10 | 6:00 to 8:00p
Many people enjoy learning about important initiatives and organizations that are making a difference in the world. The problem is that we are so accustomed to being asked for money that we've forgotten how to enjoy it. It’s hard to be engage authentically when we know that after the music, stories and food, there will be an ask for money.
Rather than experiencing the joy of generosity, the experience turns into guilt. We give just enough to cover our dinner and a little more.
While we know non-profit professionals deserve adequate living wages and well all need to pay bills, there is a time and a place for asking and giving. In fact, we wouldn’t be here without the generosity of many people.
We also believe so much good can be done by gathering a group of people for experiences that are based on trust, ideas, learning, exploration and stories.
That is why we started the Friendraiser. And that is why we’re excited to invite you to an event in honor of Stories Foundation and the Stories Food Truck.
Did you know the average cost of a person being sold into slavery today is $90?
Stories Foundation, based in Minneapolis, MN, is committed to spreading awareness about the real issue of Modern Day Slavery as well as giving communities opportunity to do something in the fight against injustice.
And they just finished raising more than $30,000 to buy the truck. So now it's time for a "Friendraiser" - an event designed to generate connections and creative ideas. You're invited!
Register today for the event on Sunday, July 10 to learn more about Stories Foundation's vision, economic model, and world-changing idea.
Bring your brain and your heart, but leave your checkbook at home. Dress casual. Free parking. Light refreshments. Register now!
